P-EBT Data Portal Launch and Data Submission Deadline

The P-EBT 2021-22 Data Portal is now open for districts and schools to upload student data. The first data submission deadline is January 31, 2022, at 4 p.m. Families should receive funds on their P-EBT cards in February. Please refer to the Benefit Issuance Timeline for information on upcoming submission deadlines.

Clarification on P-EBT Eligibility Requirements for 2021-22

Both schools and students must meet eligibility requirements for P-EBT.

A school is eligible if:

  • It participates in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or Seamless Summer Option (SSO) in the 2021-22 school year (SY), and
  • It has been closed or operating with reduced attendance or hours for five consecutive instructional days due to a COVID-19 impact in the 2021-22 SY. Each school needs to meet this threshold only once in the 2021-22 SY.

After the school eligibility is met, students are eligible if:

  • They qualify for free or reduced-price meals, and
  • They are not physically present in school due to a COVID-19 impact.

Individual students do not need to be out for five consecutive instructional days to receive P-EBT benefits. Students receive P-EBT benefits only for the days they do not receive a school meal because they are not physically present due to a COVID-19 impact.
