COVID-19 Supply Chain Disruption Memo
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) recently released a new guidance memo on COVID-19-related supply chain disruptions in the CACFP. This memo addresses meal pattern flexibility, emergency noncompetitive procurement, state agency and sponsor monitoring discretion, and more. School food authorities (SFAs) operating the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) during school year (SY) 2021-22 have the option of participating in the Afterschool Snack Program (ASP) under the School Nutrition Programs (SNP).
