COVID-19 Supply Chain Disruption Memo 

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) recently released a new guidance memo on COVID-19-related supply chain disruptions in the CACFP. This memo addresses meal pattern flexibility, emergency noncompetitive procurement, state agency and sponsor monitoring discretion, and more. Claiming Afterschool Snacks During School Year 2021-22

School food authorities (SFAs) operating the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) during school year (SY) 2021-22 have the option of participating in the Afterschool Snack Program (ASP) under the School Nutrition Programs (SNP).  

Tuesdays @ 2 Webinars 

Join school nutrition staff for a training webinar Tuesdays at 2 p.m. Read session descriptions and register for school year 2021-22 Tuesdays @ 2 webinars. There will not be a Tuesday @ 2 webinar on November 23, 2021.

  • Submitting the Verification Report in CLiCS (November 9, 2021)
  • Dynamic School Wellness Strategies (November 16, 2021) 
  • USDA Foods Strategies (November 30, 2021)
