Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) Bulletin for July 1, 2021

Make Up Data Deadlines

There will be two make up dates for data submitted to the P-EBT portal. Data must be uploaded or corrected by these dates for school year 2020-21 and summer phase 1 P-EBT benefits.

  • Friday, July 30, at 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday, August 31, at 4 p.m.

See the June 24, 2021 P-EBT bulletin for information about summer benefits. Once updates are made, the P-EBT portal will continue to look back to September 2020 through June 2021 for any corrections needed. August 31, 2021, is the last date by which corrections to previously disbursed months will be able to be corrected.

Nonpublic Schools and Learning Model Data

For nonpublic schools that conducted in-person learning all school year and have students who are eligible for free and reduced-price meals enrolled in the last month of school, those students are eligible to receive summer benefits. In order for the system to work correctly, non-public schools need to inform the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) of their learning model, even if completely in person for the 2020-21 school year. Email mde.school-verify@state.mn.us with your school organization ID, name and the dates of the start and end dates of your learning models during the 2020-21 school year.

Also, nonpublic schools need to ensure each student in the P-EBT portal has the correct entry and exit dates for enrollment. If no exit date is entered, the P-EBT portal will default the exit date to June 30, 2021, and pay an incorrect benefit amount for June.
