School Distribution of Cards
There are several schools receiving large or small volumes of P-EBT cards delivered to the school over the summer. Ensure that you have a plan for distributing cards over the summer following the School Distribution of P-EBT Cards guidance.

Learning Model Portal Data
Ensure that the learning model portal data is up to date for your school district through the end of the 2020-21 school year by Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at 4 p.m. The learning model portal will close on July 1, 2021. Although summer benefits are not tied to learning model data, every school (public and nonpublic) needs to have up to date learning model data entered into the portal in order for the summer benefits to generate.

Benefit Issuance Timeline
June 30, 2021, at 4 p.m., is the deadline for P-EBT benefits issued for:
- May 2021
- partial end of school year June 2021
- any benefit corrections back to September 2021
- summer Phase 1 benefits

Prior to June 30, run an Export of Students report under the Summary and Export of Students tab in the P-EBT portal. The exported Excel file contains a row at the far right of the spreadsheet that indicates if the student status has been transferred to DHS. Investigate any students that have not been transferred to DHS. Also, upload all students eligible for free and reduced-price meals that were enrolled in the last month of school for summer benefits by June 30 so that students receive the summer benefit. Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) schools should upload all students enrolled regardless of free or reduced-price meal eligibility.

Cost Reimbursement
Thank you for your patience as we waited for USDA's final approval of our P-EBT local level cost reimbursement plan. We recognize the urgency with end of the fiscal year activities. We will be in contact with business managers this week as to the details of the P-EBT cost reimbursement process. Register for the webinar P-EBT Local Cost Reimbursement Opportunity – Allowable Costs and How to Apply that will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
