District Outreach

MDE continues to increase awareness of the requirements and the implementation details of the legislation. MDE staff did three presentations in October for educators and district staff regarding Counting All Students and Ed-Fi. MDE is also in the process of hiring an individual to further assist with technical support to districts as we move toward statewide implementation in the 2019-20 school year.

Counting All Students

The All Kids Count Act is legislation that requires the Minnesota Department of Education to collect more detailed ancestry or ethnic origin information about students in order to better understand and identify educational needs of all students in Minnesota.
