On September 14, MCA-II test results for math and reading will be available to the public. This will not include AYP reports, which are on hold pending the U.S. Department of Education's ruling on Minnesota's NCLB waiver request. Reporters who are interested in previewing the MCA-II results on September 13 can do so by honoring the terms of the following embargo agreement. Terms of the embargo agreement and instructions to access the embargoed results are listed below.

 

A limited number of interviews with Commissioner Cassellius will be made available prior to the public release of the data. Please contact Mike Howard at (651) 582-8211 or michael.howard@state.mn.us to schedule an interview.

 

Terms of the embargo agreement and instructions:

1. All members of the media are precluded from releasing test results data before the embargo is lifted, regardless of how the information is obtained.*

2. Please read, agree and respond with your name, publication and e-mail contact information to: MDE.MediaEmbargoOK@state.mn.us. Responding to this e-mail will serve as your agreement to the terms of the embargo.

3. Your response will be confirmed and instructions about how to access the data from a secure site will be provided. (If you have previously accessed data from the MDE sharepoint site, your previous log in and password should grant you access).

4. You will be notified via e-mail when the embargoed data is available.

* Embargoed data will include all news releases, statewide & district results and any Excel or data files containing results sorted by school and school district. It includes any results provided directly to media outlet from the Minnesota Department of Education and results obtained by other outlets.
