MAITC is excited to host the fourth annual Farm and Food Book Week! Plan to join us on Zoom, February 20-23, 2024, at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. each day for virtual agriculture-themed book readings by special guest readers. Additional details will be shared by the end of January.
Farm Camp is a three-part, immersive, agricultural experience tailored to each classroom and curriculum.
Each Farm Camp starts with in-class learning to increase student knowledge. Then, students tour an agricultural site that shows how real-world agriculture is used in daily life. It ends with a career connection lesson that highlights the diverse careers available in the agriculture industry!
Visit the Farm Camp website to get connected with the program director and brainstorm Farm Camp opportunities for the students in your community!
January Trivia Question: Beans are a member of what plant family? Hint: This plant family is able to convert atmospheric nitrogen into a form of nitrogen plants can use.
