FSIS Issues Public Health Alert for Frozen Wonton Soup Products

December 18, 2021 - The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is issuing a public health alert for frozen chicken and vegetable wonton soup products due to undeclared allergens and misbranding. The product may contain shrimp, a known allergen, and pork, both of which are not declared on the product label. 

The frozen chicken and vegetable wonton soup bowls may actually contain shrimp and pork wonton soup. Products included in this public health alert were produced by Fortune Avenue Foods, Inc. on November 18, 2021.

Dream Pops Issues Allergy Alert

December 21, 2021 - Dream Pops is voluntarily recalling select Dream Pops Bites products as they may contain undeclared milk. The products were distributed nationally to retail stores and can be identified by the UPC information on the side of the cup and best by dates on the bottom of the cup.

Consumers who have purchased the recalled Dream Pops Bites products may return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Dole Fresh Vegetables Issues Voluntary Recall

December 22, 2021 - Dole Fresh Vegetables Announces a Voluntary Precautionary Recall of all Dole-branded and private label packaged salads processed at its Bessemer City, NC and Yuma, AZ processing facilities due to a possible health risk from Listeria monocytogenes.

Products subject to the voluntary recall are identified by a product lot code beginning with the either the letter “N” or “Y” in the upper right-hand corner of the package and will have a “Best if Used By” date between November 30, 2021, and January 8, 2022. Consumers who still have any of these products in their refrigerators are urged not to consume the product and to discard it immediately.

Woody’s Pet Food Deli Issues Recall

December 23, 2021 - Woody’s Pet Food Deli of Minneapolis, MN is recalling Raw Cornish Hen pet food “With Supplements” sticker due to a Salmonella health risk. The product was distributed in the company’s retail stores in Minneapolis, Saint Paul, and Woodbury, Minnesota.

Consumers who have these products should discontinue use and may return the unused portion to the place of purchase for a full refund. If you have recalled product in your home, clean refrigerators/freezers where the product was stored and clean and disinfect all bowls, utensils, food prep surfaces, pet bedding, toys, floors, and any other surfaces that the food or pet may have had contact with.

Fresh Express Issues Recall

December 27, 2021 - Fresh Express is recalling certain varieties of its branded and private label salad products produced at the company’s Streamwood, Illinois facility because the product has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Recalled salad items were distributed through retailers in the Northeast and Midwest regions of the United States, as well as distributors and retailers in Canada.

The recall includes all Use-By Dates of fresh salad items with product codes Z324 through Z350. In the event consumers have the recalled products in their refrigerators, they should be discarded and not consumed.

Seviroli Foods Inc. Issues Recall

December 26, 2021 - Seviroli Foods Inc. is recalling Aplenty Rotini with Plant Based Bolognese Meal Kit due to undeclared milk in the product. Consumers who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. The affected products were sold through Amazon Fresh stores and Fresh online channels and distributed throughout the US. 

Customers with any questions or concerns may contact Seviroli Customer Service at 516-222-6220 Ext 111 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Central Standard Time. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.
