Espi’s Sausage and Tocino Co. Issues Recall

September 28, 2021 - Espi’s Sausage and Tocino Co. is recalling approximately 2,048 pounds of frozen ready-to-eat chicken and pork hot dog products that may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The frozen ready-to-eat chicken and pork hot dog product was produced on May 19, 2021. The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. P-17524” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

B&G Foods Issues Voluntary Allergy Alert

September 29, 2021 - B&G Foods announced that it is voluntarily recalling 3,867 cases of 23 oz. Tone’s Taco Seasoning Blend, with “best by” dates of SEPT 03 24 and SEPT 06 24, due to the presence of undeclared wheat.

A portion of the individual containers within those cases were mistakenly labeled on the back with the back labels for Tone’s Lemon Pepper Seasoning Blend, which does not list wheat as an allergen. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat run the risk of serious or life- threatening allergic reaction if the recalled product is consumed.

Fromm Family Foods Issues Recall

October 1, 2021 - Fromm Family Foods is issuing a voluntary recall of approximately 5,500 cases of Fromm Shredded can Entrée dog food due to potentially elevated levels of Vitamin D. Affected recalled products were distributed at neighborhood pet stores nationwide. Products are packaged in 12 oz. cans with Best By Date 08/2024.

Dogs ingesting elevated levels of Vitamin D may exhibit symptoms such as vomiting, loss of appetite, increased thirst, increased urination, excessive drooling, and weight loss. Vitamin D when consumed at very high levels can lead to serious health issues in dogs including renal dysfunction.

Greenhead Lobster Products Issues Recall

October 2, 2021 - Greenhead Lobster Products  is recalling 5,749 lbs. of frozen cooked lobster meat because of a potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

Products listed in the link below were distributed to Maine and New Hampshire who distributed nationwide through wholesale distributers.
