New Design and Format for Cottage Food Registration Cards

In 2021, cottage food registration cards will have a new design and format. Registrations sent out for next year will be one-sided, and will display the current registration year, a limited production address, a silhouette of the State of Minnesota, and the Minnesota Department of Agriculture logo. The registration will no longer be a full sheet, but rather a smaller envelope-sized card. The design will look similar to the image below.  

There are three main reasons for making this change. First, the MDA received feedback from registered cottage food producers requesting a more private production address to be listed on the registration card. Second, this change will allow for quicker turn-around time due to easier printing and mailing of the cards. Third, this format will be unique to cottage food registrations and will continue to set it apart from other types of registrations and licenses issued by the MDA.
