Hy-Vee Mealtime Asian Entrees Recalled

September 11, 2019 – Hy-Vee, Inc. is recalling seven of its Hy-Vee Mealtime Asian Entrees after discovering the liquid egg used to make the fried rice contains milk, which is not declared on the product label.

The recalled entrees were sold in 16 & 20-ounce plastic containers with "best if used by" dates of Sept. 14, 2019, or Sept. 15, 2019.

FuPaiYuan Nougat/Matcha candy was distributed nationwide through retail stores and mail orders. The product comes in 450g, clear plastic package.

  • The recalled Nougat candy is marked with lot #20190424 and “Best Before: 01/23/2020”. The product UPC code is 6926098773012.
  • The recalled Matcha candy is marked with lot #20181126 and “Best Before: 08/25/2019”. The product UPC code is 6922828864784.

Fitoterapia USA Inc. Issues Nationwide Recall of MERO MACHO ARTIFICIAL PASSION FRUIT FLAVORED VITAMIN C LIQUID SUPPLEMENT

September 16, 2019 – Fitoterapia USA Inc. has recalled "MACHO ARTIFICIAL PASSION FRUIT FLAVORED VITAMIN C LIQUID SUPPLEMENT" to the consumer level. FDA analysis has found the product to be tainted with Tadalafil, an active ingredient in a FDA-approved prescription drug.

The tainted product is marketed as a liquid dietary supplement for sexual enhancement and is packaged in an 8.5 fl oz. bottle.

The affected supplement lots include the following, LOT: ZD-160-18 EXP: 09-07-2019, LOT: ZD-078-19 EXP: 27-04-2020, LOT: ZD-159-17 EXP: 31-05-2018. The product was distributed Nationwide to retail stores and via internet since April, 2019.

Fitoterapia USA Inc. is notifying its distributors and customers by mail and email and is arranging for return of all recalled products. Consumers/distributors/retailers that have the recalled product should stop using it, and should contact the Distributor to arrange returns.

General Mills Recalls Five Pound Bags of Gold Medal Unbleached All Purpose Flour

September 16, 2019 – General Mills has recalled five-pound bags of its Gold Medal Unbleached All Purpose Flour with a better if used by date of September 6, 2020. The recall is being issued for the potential presence of E. coli O26 which was discovered during sampling of the five-pound bag product.

Guidance from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) continues to warn that consumers should always refrain from consuming any raw products made with flour. All surfaces, hands and utensils should be properly cleaned after contact with flour or dough.
