Seggiano USA, Inc. Issues Recall of Pesto Due to Undeclared Cashews

February 22, 2018 – Seggiano USA, Inc. is recalling Tuscan Kale Pesto mislabeled with Artichoke & Garlic labels because the labels do not declare tree nuts (cashews). 

The products were distributed between 01/10/18 and 02/15/18 to retail stores.

Seggiano USA Inc. is recalling the following product:
Seggiano Tuscan Kale Pesto (with Artichoke & Garlic label). 7.1 oz. UPC 812603020381. Lot 326 -17/3. Best by 05/2019.

The Tuscan Kale Pesto comes in a glass jar, and the Lot Code is found on the gold tamper proof sticker connected to the lid and the jar.

Triple T Specialty Meats Inc. Recalls Chicken Salad Due to Salmonella Contamination

February 21, 2018 –Triple T Specialty Meats, Inc. is recalling approximately 20,630 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken salad products that may be contaminated with Salmonella Typhimurium.

The ready-to-eat chicken salad items were produced on various dates between Jan. 2, 2018 and Feb. 7, 2018. The following product is subject to recall:
Packages of two 5 lb. bags of “CHICKEN SALAD, PACKED FOR FAREWAY WHOLESALE COMPANY” on the label.

The product subject to recall bear establishment number “P-21011” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to Fareway grocery stores in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, and South Dakota.

On February 9, 2018, FSIS was notified of an investigation of Salmonella Typhimurium illnesses. The state of Iowa has determined that there is a link between the chicken salad from Triple T Specialty Meats, Inc. and this outbreak. Based on epidemiological investigation, 37 confirmed case-patients have been identified in Iowa.

Emerald® Nuts Issues Recall of Glazed Walnuts Due to Undeclared Peanuts

February 21, 2018 –Emerald® Nuts is initiating a voluntary recall for a limited amount of its 6.5oz Glazed Walnuts product, distributed nationwide, due to the potential presence of undeclared peanuts, almonds, cashews and pecans in the product. 

Product Details:
6.5oz Emerald® Glazed Walnuts. UPC 0 1030080894 7. Production code EN1216XX2. Best by date 15 DEC 2018.

To locate the production code on the package, consumers should look next to the nutrition facts panel.
