Café Spice GCT Inc., Recalls Ready-To-Eat Chicken Salad Products Due to Misbranding and Undeclared Allergen

January 18, 2018– Café Spice GCT Inc. is recalling approximately 289 pounds of chicken salad products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The chicken salad was packaged with a chicken wrap label. The chicken salad contains milk, a known allergen, which is not declared on the chicken wraps’ product labels. 

The ready-to-eat chicken salads were produced on Jan. 12, 2018. The following products are subject to recall:

  • 15-oz. clamshell containers labeled  “southwest-style chicken wrap” but containing southwest-style chicken salad products, with a “best by” date of “Jan. 20, 2018” on the labels.

The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. P-34641” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.           

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

Sea Salt Caramel Hearts Recall

Palmer Candy Company Announces Voluntary Recall of Sea Salt Caramel Hearts

January 17, 2018– Palmer Candy Company is recalling Sea Salt Caramel Hearts that were sold at Bomgaars Supply Inc. Store in the Midwest States. The recall is due to possible peanut allergen contamination.

Recalled products include the following:

Sea Salt Caramel Hearts- 12 oz Tub
UPC: 77232-17091. Best By: 12/21/18 .

Product was sold in IA, SD, NE, MN, WY, CO.

Consumers should throw out or return these products to the point of sale for a full refund. For more information, consumers may call to speak with a Customer Service Representative at Palmer Candy Company between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Central Standard Time at 712-258-5543.

Michelina's alfredo recall

Bellisio Foods, Inc. Issues Recall of Michelina’s Fettuccine Alfredo Packages Due to Undeclared Soy

January 17, 2017– Bellisio Foods, Inc. is recalling certain Michelina’s Fettuccine Alfredo due to the possibility some packages may contain undeclared chicken with soy that is not listed on packaging. Bellisio Foods, announced this recall and began notification of affected customers on 12/22/2017 and that those customers affected were able to begin removing product from the shelves on 12/22/2017

UPC Number: 7 17854 10501 9

The Michelina’s frozen entrée identified above was distributed by Bellisio Foods to retail locations and distribution centers located in:

  • HEB San Antonio W202, 4700 N Pan Am Expressway, San Antonio TX
  • Safeway Anchorage, 3520 Pacific Avenue, Auburn WA 98001

  • Walmart 7012-Washington Ct, 1400 Chillicothe Road, Washington CT House OH 431

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
