EZ weight loss TX recall

EZ Weight Loss TX LLC Issues Recall of Atomic and Xplode Capsules Due to Undeclared Sibutramine

July 24, 2017 – EZ Weight Loss TX is voluntarily recalling all lots of La Bri's Body Health Atomic and Xplode capsules to the consumer level. FDA analysis has found the products to be tainted with sibutramine.

Sibutramine is an appetite suppressant that was withdrawn from the U.S. market in October 2010 for safety reasons.

Sibutramine is known to increase blood pressure and/or pulse rate in some patients and may present a risk for patients with a history of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, or stroke. Sibutramine may also interact, in life-threatening ways with other medications a consumer may be taking.

The following tainted products are marketed as dietary supplements and are subject to recall:

  • "Atomic" 60 count bottles.
  • "Xplode" 30 count bottles.

All lots and codes of Atomic and Xplode are included in this recall and were sold Nationwide through internet sales starting in 2015.

Bhu Foods Voluntarily Recalls Protein Bars for Possible Health Risk

July 21, 2017 – A supplier has notified Bhu Foods that ingredients sold to the company have been recalled due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Out of an abundance of caution Bhu foods is recalling select protein bars manufactured between 5/9/17 and  6/9/17.

This announcement applies only to the following products and lot codes (The lot code is printed on each individual bar wrapper next to the expiration date):

Ultra Shop Supplement Issues Recall of Super Panther 7K Due to Presence Sildenafil and Tadalafil

July 21, 2017 – Ultra Shop Supplement is voluntarily recalling Super Panther 7K capsules distributed by SX Power Co. to the consumer level.  FDA analysis found samples of Super Panther 7K to be tainted with undeclared sildenafil and tadalafil, active ingredients in two FDA-approved prescription drug products, also known as phosphodiesterate 5-inhibitors (PDE-5), used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED).

Super Panther 7K is marketed as a dietary supplement for sexual enhancement and packaged in the following sizes:

  • 6-count bottles. UPC: 6 01577 51320 9. Lot: RO246852. Exp 8/28/2020
  • 1-count blister cards. UPC: 6 015577 51324 7. (Sold to retailers as 30-count hanging card display.) Lot: RO846356. Exp 08/28/2020.

Super Panther 7K was sold to consumers nationwide in the USA via our retail website. Ultra Shop Supplements has discontinued sales of these products and has notified its customers of this voluntary recall via e-mail.

Consumers that purchased these products from Ultra Shop directly, should stop using them immediately and can contact us at 888-246-9664 Monday-Friday between the hours of (9:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern time) and request to return the recalled products.  Consumers should contact their physician or healthcare provider if they have experienced any problems that may be related to taking or using this drug product.

Stromboli Recall

Stefano's Foods, Inc. Recalls Meat Products Due To Misbranding and Undeclared Allergen

July 24, 2017 – Stefano’s Foods, Inc is recalling approximately 981 pounds of Stromboli products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The product contains eggs, a known allergen which is not declared on the product label.

The frozen meatball Stromboli items, produced on June 24, 2017, were incorrectly packaged in a box labeled as pepperoni and Italian sausage Stromboli. The following product is subject to recall:

  • 18.5-oz. boxes containing two pieces of “SCREAMIN’ SICILIAN PIZZA CO. STROMBOLI SUPREMUS MAXIMUS PEPPERONI & ITALIAN SAUSAGE” with an Enjoy by date: 2/19/2018 and lot code of 70010117517.

The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 19140” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to a distribution center in Wisconsin.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

Grande Produce Issues Voluntary Recall of Papaya “Caribeña” Due to Potential Salmonella Contamination

July 26, 2017 – Grande Produce has announced a voluntary recall of a limited quantity of Papaya Maradol Caribeña due to a potential health risk from Salmonella.

The papayas subject to the recall carry a “Caribeña” brand label on cartons and were shipped during the dates of July 10 to July 19.  No other papayas or fresh produce distributed by Grande Produce are subject to the recall. 

Specific sources, of what health officials now believe may be two separate Salmonella outbreaks, have not yet been determined.  Of the 47 cases reported nationally, five illnesses are currently reported in the State of Maryland where Grande Produce distributed product. 

Consumers who may have purchased the Caribeña brand of papayas are advised not to eat them and to dispose of them instead. A full refund is available where purchased or from Grande Produce at (888) 507-2720. Calls are received from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm CST.

Hy-Vee, Inc. Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Soy in Hy-Vee Brand Pizzas

July 25, 2017 – Hy-Vee, Inc. is voluntarily recalling eight Hy-Vee brand pizzas that were sold at its six Minneapolis-area stores because they may contain undeclared soy.

The take-and-bake Hy-Vee brand pizzas were distributed at the Twin Cities Hy-Vee stores in New Hope, Oakdale, Lakeville, Brooklyn Park, Eagan and Savage, near the stores’ Italian departments and prepared-meal areas. The Hy-Vee pizzas are packaged in plastic wrapped pizza tins and sold out of refrigerated display cases. They are produced by Hy-Vee’s wholly owned subsidiary D & D Foods, Inc., based in Omaha, Nebraska.

Below is the product description, size and UPC number that can be found on the label of each Hy-Vee pizza that is being recalled.

  • 12” Cheese Traditional Crust Pizza. UPC: 288900 9089960. Best By Dates: 4-23-2017 thru 07-26-2017.
