 Welcome to Pride Month 2025!
Pride Month is a time to honor the resilience, diversity, and contributions of LGBTQIA2S+ communities. It is also an important opportunity to reflect on Pride’s origins as a movement for justice led by Black and Brown trans women, lesbians, and queer activists who fought against police violence and systemic discrimination. Their leadership laid the groundwork for the progress we’ve made and reminds us of the work still ahead. As a state agency, the Council on LGBTQIA2S+ Minnesotans is committed to advancing equity, shaping inclusive public policy, and ensuring that all members of our communities are seen, valued, and protected. We wish all you MNQTs a joyful and affirming Pride and encourage all to prioritize safety while celebrating.
MNQT is so excited to celebrate Pride with our community!
This newsletter includes info on some of the Pride festivals MNQT is supporting and where you can find MNQT staff and Council Members at upcoming Pride events.
We're also announcing the launch of a new social media campaign, #PrideinMyStory, and would love for you to participate! Check out our Instagram for inspiration and find detailed instructions here.
Finally, since we've extended our Community Needs Survey through the month of June, we want to encourage you to take the survey or help us spread the word if you've already taken it. Here is the link to our updated promotional packet with gorgeous new graphics just for Pride Month!
We look forward to connecting with you this month as we recognize the resilience and joy of our community.
