Below are announcements, events, media, and legislative activity related to the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund (ENRTF) and the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR).

Announcements
- In response to the 2023 RFP, LCCMR received 174 proposals requesting a total of approximately $164 million. On July 25, LCCMR members will select a subset of high‐ranking proposals to invite for presentation on August 8-10 and 16-17 to receive further consideration. On August 30, it is anticipated that LCCMR will make final selection and funding allocation decisions. This RFP process is for funding beginning July 1, 2023. - Today, Governor Walz signed into law HF 3765, which includes ENRTF funding for 80 projects and provides COVID and other extensions for expiring projects. LCCMR staff are following up with project managers of all affected projects to provide next steps. Learn more on the 2022 Funded Projects page.
- Senator David Tomassoni has resigned from the LCCMR in advance of his retirement from the legislature.Thank you, Senator Tomassoni, for your 16 years of service. The Senate has named Senator Gary Dahms to fill the remainder of Senator Tomassoni’s term. Welcome back, Senator Dahms.

Help Document Wild Species at Cedar Rock SNA Event Saturday, June 18, 2022 | 9:00AM – throughout the day Location: Cedar Rock SNA, Redwood County Work with biologists and naturalist to conduct species surveys at the Cedar Rock SNA. Volunteers will be instructed on how to conduct surveys, should plan for no amenities, and should dress appropriately for weather and ticks. No registration needed. The 2022 Legislative Session adjourned on Monday, May 23. Prior to the end of session, the House and Senate passed HF 3765, which included ENRTF funding for 80 projects and provided extensions for COVID-related delays and to correct previous appropriation end dates. The Governor signed the bill on June 4, 2022. LCCMR staff are following up with all affected projects to provide instructions on next steps.
While several bills to extend the ENRTF constitutional amendment as well as change composition of the commission were introduced, these bills were not passed into law.
