Please join us tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30, from 9-10:30 a.m. for a virtual Fix Up Loan Program Training Webinar. This training is designed for new lenders or current lenders who need a refresher.
Fix Up Rate Review
The next monthly rate review and possible adjustment takes place on Thursday, October 1. Given the potential for rate changes, please review your pipeline and lock loans as appropriate.
As a reminder, our Energy Incentive Loan rates for both unsecured and secured loans are also reviewed monthly and may be adjusted at that time. Energy Loan Plus interest rates will not change at this time.

Reminder: Energy Loan Plus Extended
We’re pleased to announce that the temporary Energy Loan Plus* program, which currently offers a 2% interest rate for energy conservation improvements, has been extended and is now expected to remain available until spring 2027, or until program funds are exhausted. This extension provides additional time for eligible homeowners to use the program while funding remains available.
As a reminder, Energy Loan Plus is an additional option under the Fix Up loan program, and all current Fix Up lenders are able to access the program.
Borrowers must meet program parameters set forth in the Fix Up Loan Program Procedural Manual, including income limits and improvement type.

Reminder: Accessibility Updates to Minnesota Housing Documents
Over the coming months we will be updating documents and resources located on Minnesota Housing’s webpage and in our Partner Portal to make them more accessible. Changes will include the following:
- Reorganizing content to allow for compatibility with screen readers
- Moving content from PDFs onto webpages
- Making minor formatting changes
- Updating forms and worksheets
We will inform you of any documents that have significant changes.
