Reminder: Share Your Thoughts About Fix Up
We would love to hear from you about your recent experience with the Fix Up Loan Program.
Take just 2-3 minutes to complete a short lender survey to share your thoughts on how the program is going and what we could do to strengthen the program. Your responses are anonymous and play an important role in helping us improve your experience with Minnesota Housing.
The survey will be open until Friday, April 3, 2026.
We encourage you to forward this message to other staff that work with Fix Up, as everyone’s perspective is important. Thanks for helping us make Minnesota Housing even better!
Fix Up Rate Review April 1
The next monthly rate review and possible adjustment takes place on Wednesday, April 1. Given the potential for rate changes, please review your pipeline and lock loans as appropriate.
As a reminder, our Energy Incentive Loan rates for both unsecured and secured loans are also reviewed monthly and may be adjusted at that time. Energy Loan Plus interest rates will not change at this time.
Please visit the Home Improvement Interest Rates webpage for a list of current rates.
Reminder: Energy Loan Plus Lower Rate Now Available!
The Energy Loan Plus* rate has decreased from 3.5% to 2%. Energy Loan Plus offers a reduced interest rate for energy conservation improvements for households at or below 80% area median income (AMI).
Energy Loan Plus is an additional option under the Fix Up loan program, and all current Fix Up lenders are able to access the program.
Borrowers must meet program parameters set forth in the Fix Up Loan Program Procedural Manual, including income limits and improvement type.
Updated Energy Loan Plus marketing materials are available. The product name in the commitment system has been updated from Energy Loan Plus - 3.5% to Energy Loan Plus.
* This project was made possible by a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy and the Minnesota Department of Commerce through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021 (IIJA).
