Fix Up Training Webinar September 30
Please join us on Tuesday, September 30 from 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. for a virtual Fix Up Loan Program Training Webinar. This training is designed for new lenders or current lenders who need a refresher.
Supplemental Application for Energy Loans
The Supplemental Application for Energy Loans is required on unsecured energy incentive and Energy Loan Plus loans - it is not required for secured energy incentive loans.
The form must be filled out completely, including:
- The entire first page. Square footage of the home and whether the borrower will apply for a rebate are often missed or left blank.
- The borrower must initial the Tennessen Warning to receive the energy loan. The line for the initial is located on the second page of the application. If the borrower refuses to initial the warning, they are not eligible to receive the energy loan.
The energy loan options are made possible by a partnership with the Minnesota Department of Commerce and funding from the U.S. Department of Energy. The partnership requires reporting of certain data collected through the Supplemental Application for Energy Loans.
Energy Loan Plus is Still Available!
Minnesota Housing’s Energy Loan Plus* option is still available. Energy Loan Plus offers a reduced interest rate for energy conservation improvements for households at 80% area median income (AMI). It is an additional option under the Fix Up loan program. All current Fix Up lenders can access Energy Loan Plus.
To qualify, borrowers must meet program parameters set forth in the Home Improvement Loan Programs Procedural Manual, including income limits and improvement type.
Where can I find out more?
* This project was made possible by a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy and the Minnesota Department of Commerce through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021 (IIJA).
