Energy Loan Plus to Resume
After pausing the program due to uncertainty around federal funding decisions, Minnesota Housing can confirm that Energy Loan Plus* will resume effective Tuesday, March 18.
As of March 18 at 5 p.m. lenders will be able to lock Energy Loan Plus loans in Minnesota Housing's commitment system.
Energy Loan Plus offers a reduced interest rate for energy conservation improvements for households at 80% area median income (AMI). It is an additional option under the Fix Up loan program. All current Fix Up lenders are able to access Energy Loan Plus.
To qualify, borrowers must meet program parameters set forth in the Home Improvement Loan Programs Procedural Manual, including income limits and improvement type.
*This project was made possible by a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy and the Minnesota Department of Commerce through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021 (IIJA).
Minnesota Housing will continue to monitor the status of federal funds and provide updates as needed.
Updated Marketing Materials Webpage
Minnesota Housing has made it easier to access marketing materials. We’ve relocated the downloadable items formerly found on the Marketing Center. Promotional materials, social media images and content for Homeownership and Home Improvement loan programs can now be previewed, downloaded, and saved directly from the Marketing Materials webpage.
Marketing orders have been paused while we work on developing options for templates and materials. We hope to have new items for your use during the next several months and we encourage you to check back.
