Urgent Alert!
Because of a federal funding delay, Minnesota Housing will pause the Energy Loan Plus program on Friday, March 7 at 5 p.m. Loans locked in the system before Friday, March 7 at 5 p.m. will be honored. Energy Loan Plus offers low-interest home improvement loans to eligible borrowers for energy-conservation related improvements. Minnesota Housing partners with Minnesota Department of Commerce to offer the program, which is partially funded by Federal Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) funds. Minnesota Department of Commerce is currently experiencing a delay in receiving reimbursements from the U.S. Department of Energy EECBG account, which impacts our ability to offer the Energy Loan Plus program. Minnesota Housing must pause the Energy Loan Plus program until the delay is resolved.
Other Fix Up loan options, including the secured and unsecured Energy Incentive loans, are not affected.
We apologize for the disruption and will notify you when Energy Loan Plus reopens.
