Greetings,
We’re writing to provide you with an update on a Minnesota Housing loan program that you may be exploring with some of your clients.
Because of a federal funding delay, Minnesota Housing may soon pause the Energy Loan Plus program. Energy Loan Plus offers low-interest home improvement loans to eligible borrowers for energy-conservation related improvements. Minnesota Housing partners with Minnesota Department of Commerce to offer the program, which is partially funded by Federal Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) funds. Minnesota Department of Commerce is currently experiencing a delay in receiving reimbursements from the U.S. Department of Energy EECBG account, which impacts our ability to offer the Energy Loan Plus program. Please stay tuned for future announcements.
Other Fix Up loan options, including the secured and unsecured Energy Incentive loans, are not affected.
