First-Generation Homebuyer Loan Program Tracker
Minnesota Housing added a First-Generation Homebuyer Loan Program Loan Commitment Tracker to our First-Generation Homebuyer Loan consumer webpage. The tracker will be used to provide a weekly update regarding the current availability of First-Generation Homebuyer Loan funds and funds committed to date. We encourage our lenders to check the tracker regularly as this will help with planning current and future loan transactions that include a First-Generation Homebuyer Loan.
Reminders for First-Generation Homebuyer Loan Program
-
First-Generation Homebuyer Loan Program Eligibility Worksheet: required on all First-Generation Homebuyer loans
-
Start Up Borrower Affidavit and First-Generation Homebuyer Affidavit: County and state where the document is signed must be completed.
- Borrowers are not required to use one of our standard downpayment assistance loans (DPA) to access the First-Generation Homebuyer loan program.
- If a borrower uses one of our standard DPAs and a First-Generation Homebuyer loan, then each loan should have its own note, mortgage and disclosures.
- Lien positions:
- MPL: requires second lien position
- DPL/DPL+: second lien position unless another community loan requires second position
