 Funding Available: Homeownership Education, Counseling and Training (HECAT) Fund
The HECAT Fund provides financial support for comprehensive homebuyer education and counseling programs including in-person homebuyer education, 1:1 homebuyer services (financial wellness or homebuyer advising), home equity conversion counseling, and foreclosure prevention counseling.
A Request for Proposal (RFP) is now available for the HECAT 2023-2025 grant period. All HECAT RFP materials must be received no later than 3 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023. See Minnesota Housing's website and the HECAT Overview and Request for Proposal Instructions for submission details and requirements.
We will hold an information session with Q&A to present the HECAT funding model that includes a combination of a base award and client outcomes. We will hold a technical assistance webinar to provide an overview on completing the RFP and online RFP system as well as provide an opportunity to discuss HECAT approved services, reporting requirements, and ask questions about the RFP. Applicant participation in the information session and the technical assistance webinar is strongly recommended. Register in advance using the links provided below.
