The U.S. Department of Labor is highlighting disability advocates throughout NDEAM, include Lois Curtis.
Lois Curtis’s lawsuit against the state of Georgia resulted in the Supreme Court’s landmark Olmstead decision, providing a legal basis for independent living and community integration, including through employment, for Americans with disabilities.

At this Lunch and Learn event, we will be joined by DEED and DHS to learn more about E1MN including achievements and future developments. Presenters will also share the trainings, tools, and resources for support professionals created through E1MN and discuss the available employment supports through each agency.

The Community First Services and Supports (CFSS) Implementation Council is looking to fill open seats for January appointments. The council consults and collaborates with DHS on the development and implementation of CFSS policy. People who apply should have knowledge of the current personal care assistance (PCA) program in Minnesota. Applications are open until all positions are filled, but anyone interested is encouraged to apply by October 24, 2022.
