Minnesota Housing has named a new Chief Information Officer, Rudi Mohamed.
Mohamed comes to this position having deepened his technical skills with Microsoft and InfoNERO and in approaching IT design and implementation challenges in his 15 years with the State of Minnesota.
Mohamed says he is always seeking transformative IT solutions, such as the $11 million biennium business IT solutions program he led that unified and transformed the State of Minnesota’s IT infrastructure.
Since February 2022, Mohamed has served as the Head of Information Systems at Minnesota Housing.
Minnesota Housing Commissioner Jennifer Ho says she is impressed by Mohamed’s plans for IT to dovetail with the Agency’s mission-driven work.
“Rudi has a clear vision of how the role of IT can support my vision for the agency: that we go big so all Minnesotans can go home,” says Ho.
“I’ve had the chance to immerse myself in Minnesota Housing’s culture and I’m delighted to move into this leadership role and work closely with Commissioner Ho,” says Mohamed. “IT is critical to how the agency serves Minnesotans. I’m eager to help transform the way we work.”
Mohamed succeeds Vi Bergquist as the agency’s CIO. Mohamed assumed his new role September 28.
