Fix Up Loan Program Changes - Effective Today, September 12
Minnesota Housing is pleased to announce changes to the Fix Up Loan Program. These changes are effective for loans locked on or after September 12, 2022.

Solar Panels
- Solar panels are eligible under the secured energy incentive loan.
- Solar panels are still also eligible under the regular Fix Up program.
- Solar panels are still ineligible under the unsecured energy incentive loan.
Document Updates
- The Energy Supplemental Application is no longer required for secured energy incentive loans. It is still required on all unsecured energy incentive loans.
- Both of the unsecured loan Notes are four pages instead of five pages due to spacing adjustments. No content changes were made. The updated Notes are available in the commitment system.
- The Home Improvement Programs Procedural Manual is updated to reflect the changes.

Fix Up Monthly Check-in Calls
Join us for monthly webinars where we focus on answering questions about Fix Up and reviewing pertinent program topics. Please email Kirsten Partenheimer with any topics or questions for the next monthly check-in. Click here to register.
When you register, you will be signed up for all sessions in the series but can attend the sessions that work for you. Most calls occur on the third Wednesday of the month at 9 a.m. CST. Calls generally last 10-30 minutes depending on topics and conversation. Once a quarter we offer the Fix Up 101 Training in lieu of the monthly check-in call.
