Workforce Housing Development Program
Application materials for the 2021 Request for Proposals (RFP) Workforce Housing Development Program were due by 12:00 p.m. CT on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. This RFP has approximately $4 million of funding available.
The Workforce Housing Development Program is a competitive funding program that targets small-to medium-sized cities, communities, or areas in Greater Minnesota with rental workforce housing needs. Funding is available to build market rate residential rental properties in communities with proven job growth and demand for workforce rental housing.
Minnesota Housing received a total of 23 applications requesting $18.9 million for 675 housing units. Staff are currently reviewing applications and expect to make recommendations to the Minnesota Housing board at its April 21, 2022 meeting. Board materials will be available for review on the Minnesota Housing website on Monday April 18, 2022.
