Upcoming MNDOT Q&A Regarding Sauk Centre Road Project
I am pleased to share information regarding a public Q&A session next week with MnDOT and the City of Sauk Centre concerning the proposed Highway 71/Main Street reconstruction project. Over the past several months, I have been in communication with MnDOT after hearing from many residents who have expressed questions and concerns about the proposal.
This meeting will provide an important opportunity for community members to engage directly with MnDOT, ask questions, share feedback, and voice any concerns they may have regarding the project. I encourage anyone interested in the future of Highway 71/Main Street to attend and take advantage of this opportunity to make their voice heard.
Federal Judge Blocks Subpoena of MN Officials Regarding Immigration Activity
Immigration policy continues to be a major issue in Minnesota and across the country, and recent headlines have once again raised questions about how state leaders are working with federal authorities. Over the past several years, Governor Walz and other Democrats have supported policies that many believe have made cooperation with federal immigration enforcement more difficult. As a result, concerns about public safety, accountability, and the rule of law have only grown.
I believe Minnesotans expect a straightforward approach. We should be working with federal officials, not creating barriers that prevent them from doing their jobs. Immigration laws exist for a reason, and enforcing those laws is an important part of keeping our communities safe and maintaining trust in our institutions. That includes ensuring that dangerous criminals who are in our country illegally are identified and removed, rather than being protected by policies driven by politics.
Reasonable people can disagree on many aspects of immigration policy, but public safety should not be a partisan issue. Minnesotans deserve transparency from their government and confidence that state leaders are putting the interests and safety of our communities first. I will continue to support policies that uphold the rule of law, promote cooperation between state and federal authorities, and put the well-being of Minnesota families ahead of political agendas.
