Baker, Van Binsbergen, and Lang to Host Legislative Town Hall in Willmar
WILLMAR, Minn. — Representative Dave Baker (R–Willmar), alongside Representative Scott Van Binsbergen and Senator Andrew Lang, will host a Legislative Town Hall and 2026 Session Recap on Wednesday, June 3rd from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the Sibley Auditorium located on the MinnWest Technology Campus in Willmar.
The event will provide community members with an opportunity to hear directly from their local legislators about the recently concluded 2026 legislative session, key issues debated at the Capitol, and the work being done on behalf of western Minnesota families, workers, farmers, and businesses.
“One of the most important parts of this job is sitting down face-to-face with the people you represent and having honest conversations about what’s happening in St. Paul,” Baker said. “Whether it’s rising costs, workforce shortages, healthcare access, or concerns about government spending, people want to know their voices are being heard and that their Representative is fighting for their community every single day.”
The town hall will include a recap of major legislative actions taken during the 2026 session, updates on state budget priorities, and discussion surrounding issues impacting Kandiyohi County and Greater Minnesota. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with lawmakers.
“These conversations matter because good policy starts with listening,” Baker said. “The people of Greater Minnesota deserve transparency, accountability, and leaders who are willing to show up, answer questions, and keep working toward practical solutions that actually improve people’s lives.”
The event is free to attend, but RSVPs are encouraged through the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber.
