Gillman Takes Oath of Office, Announces Committee Assignments for 2025-2026 Legislative Session
St. Paul, MN — Today, Representative Dawn Gillman (R – Dassel) was officially sworn in for her second term in the Minnesota House of Representatives as the 2025 Legislative Session began. Rep. Gillman is committed to tackling the key issues facing Minnesota families and ensuring that taxpayers get the results they deserve.
“We’re back at the Capitol to do the work that Minnesotans sent us here to do,” said Rep. Gillman. “This session, House Republicans are committed to delivering on the issues that matter most to Minnesota. Rep. Gillman emphasizes that “we need to ease the financial burdens on families, fighting for tax relief, ensuring our elections are secure, putting an end to fraud in government programs, and building a strong foundation for the future of Minnesota.”
Most of Rep. Gillman’s work during the first months of session will occur in House committees. For the 2025-2026 legislative biennium, Gillman will serve as the GOP Vice Chair on the Human Services Finance and Policy Committee. She has also been assigned to the Health and Finance Policy Committee and the Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee.
Gillman continued, “We have a lot of work ahead of us, and I’m committed to fighting for policies that improve healthcare access, promote quality education, and safeguard our environment—while making sure we are being good stewards of Minnesota taxpayers' hard-earned dollars.”
