Legislative Update
Friends and Neighbors,
The Christmas season is a time of light and hope as we celebrate faith and the birth of Jesus Christ. Our State Capitol reflects this with beautiful displays such as the Nativity scene and the Menorah, honoring both Christian and Jewish traditions. However, a new display has appeared that has caused significant concern.
Recently, Alpha News reported that the Minnesota Satanists have put up a disturbing display at the Capitol, glorifying darkness and evil. It is deeply troubling to see such a mockery of faith and morality in the very heart of our state during this holy season.
Evil seeks to divide, destroy, and overshadow what is good, but as people of faith, we know the power of light and hope to overcome darkness. This unsettling display serves as a reminder that we are called to be beacons of hope and truth in a world that often strays from these values.
While the presence of this display is frustrating, it presents us with an opportunity to unite—to stand against forces that seek to sow division and despair. Together, through prayer, song, and solidarity, we can confront this darkness and replace it with the true reason for the season.
You're invited to join a caroling and prayer service on the steps of the Capitol this Wednesday, December 18th, at noon. Let us honor the true meaning of Christmas and affirm the values we hold dear.
This season, let us focus on shining light unto the world, reminding everyone that hope, faith, and love will always triumph over darkness.
