Legislative Update
Dear Neighbors,
I hope this message finds you well as we settle into November and reflect on an eventful year. With the elections now behind us, I’m excited to reconnect through these newsletters and share updates about our district, the legislature, and the work ahead. It’s an honor to continue serving as your representative, and I’m grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me to advocate for our community at the Capitol.
Election of Caucus Leadership
I am also honored to share that I was elected as an Assistant Leader for the House Republican Caucus. This position reflects the trust and confidence of my colleagues, and I am deeply committed to ensuring that we deliver on the priorities of suburban families and families across Minnesota.
In this leadership role, I will focus on thoughtful, balanced solutions to the issues that matter most—whether it’s ensuring safe communities, supporting strong schools, protecting clean water, improving mental health access, or providing economic stability. I’ve heard from voters across our district and the state, and I will continue working to represent those voices and lead with a solutions-focused approach that prioritizes listening, learning, and leading.
Having co-founded the Suburban Solutions Caucus, I remain dedicated to finding common ground and addressing the unique needs of suburban communities. I look forward to bringing this same collaborative mindset to my work as an Assistant Leader and continuing to advocate for the interests of Minnesotans across the state.

A Tied Legislature
Such a collaborative mindset is going to be required for this upcoming session. Elections across the state have left the Minnesota House in a rare 67-67 tie—the first such split since 1978. These next two years will require collaboration and compromise, and I look forward to working on behalf of our community within this unique dynamic.
Happy Thanksgiving
As we gather with loved ones this Thanksgiving, let us take a moment to reflect on the blessings we share and the values that unite us as a community. This season reminds us to be grateful for our families, our freedoms, and the resilience of our neighbors. I’m thankful for the continued support and trust of our community. May your day be filled with gratitude, love, and memories with those who matter most. Happy Thanksgiving!
