Dear Friends and Neighbors, |
|
We’ve had a busy start to the 2022 session! I have introduced several bills already - including bonding projects across the district, bills to address rising health insurance costs, to cut taxes, to restore election integrity, and support Minnesota families and students.
On Monday, my bill to repay the Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund deficit and restore the fund to solvency will be heard in the House Jobs & Economic Development Committee. This has bi-partisan support, as well as support from the Governor's office. It's important that the legislature work together to get this passed so that businesses all over the state don't get hit with high tax increases in March.

I was thrilled to visit Summit Academy this week. They do incredible work to move people into the workforce and into the middle class by providing training and credentials in high demand fields like IT and cyber security! This is a great example of a successful public/private partnership. |
