Dear Friends and Neighbors,
We are making progress in vaccinating our vulnerable population and starting to see results across the country and in our state. COVID cases are down, hospitalizations are plummeting, and deaths are dropping all across the country. Things are slowly getting better and we will see the end of this difficult time sooner rather than later.
Some updates from the Minnesota Vaccine Rollout:
- The Federal pharmacy program launched this past week – these doses are in addition to our state allocation. More doses to go around!
- The Rochester Community Vaccination site has been added as a permanent to go along with Minneapolis and Duluth. These three permanent sites took over the 9 pilot program site from earlier this year.
- 30% of lottery applicants have been vaccinated!
- The Federal government has announced they will be giving additional vaccines over and above the state allocation to Federally Qualified Health Centers. Minnesota was distributing to FQHCs from its weekly allocation, so this will free up vaccination for the rest of MN.
- Moving forward, Minnesota is expecting 88,000 vaccine allocated/week minimum.

Goodhue County Vaccine Update
This week we Goodhue County shared a detailed update on their vaccine and case numbers. 12.3% of Goodhue County has been vaccinated and new case numbers have stayed low, which is a great sign of progress. We are making progress and getting closer to getting back to normal.
Goodhue County health officials are encouraged by the progress, and strongly encourage people to keep up the COVID precautions (wear masks, wash hands, avoid gatherings and stay home when you’re sick) a few months longer so we can put an end to the pandemic.
