Latest Actions from the Governor
Today, the governor revealed the next phase of opening the economy, and previewed where we might go from there.
Phase 2, which will begin June 1, centers around restaurants, bars, and personal services like salons and barbershops. June 1, restaurants and bars are allowed to open for outdoor dining only, with 6 feet between tables, no more than 50 people, and a party size of 4 total, or 6 if it's a family. Reservations are required, staff must wear masks, and customers are strongly encouraged to wear them also, especially when interacting with workers.
Personal care businesses like salons, barbershops, and tattoo parlors are allowed to operate at 25% capacity. Masks are required for patrons and workers, and appointments are required - no walk-ins.
Campgrounds and charter boats will also be allowed to operate. Campsite configuration must be socially distant, and charter boats must also allow for social distancing unless the occupants are a family.
The governor previewed Phases 3 and 4, but did not provide timing for them. In Phase 3, gatherings will be allowed for 20 or fewer people. Restaurants and bar operations will be allowed indoors, with maximum 50% capacity, social distancing, and masks required for all. Personal care will move to 50% capacity. Phase 3 will also allow some outdoor entertainment, maximum 250 people, with social distancing and masks required. Churches will be allowed to hold outdoor services with 6 feet between parties, maximum 100 people, masks required and singing limited. Pools will also be open at 50% capacity.
In Phase 4, gyms and fitness centers will open at 50% capacity, social distancing, and masks required unless strenuously exercising. Bowling alleys and other similar businesses will also open at this point, with masks and social distancing required. In this phase, churches will be allowed to hold services indoors with a maximum of 250 people and masks and social distancing required.
