CTIA 5G Futures Conference
I recently delivered a keynote address for a great group of people at CTIA’s 5G Futures conference. My legislation to support small cell technology, which has ushered in 5G service, passed in 2017. We became the 7th state to pass it into law, and in April this year, Minneapolis became the first city in the world to turn on 5G service!
In the Twin Cities, 5G is expected to bring in $600 million in infrastructure investments, creating 1.1 billion in GDP growth, with 6,500 new jobs and $400 million in smart city benefits. I’m proud that legislation I worked so hard to bring over the finish line is having this kind of positive effect in our state, and I look forward to seeing what more we can do with 5G technology!

BCA Citizens Academy
This past week, I completed 5 weeks of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension's Citizens Academy.
It was a great experience, and I enjoyed learning more about our justice system and the important work the BCA does!
