This week on BRAND NEWS: more policy packages pass off the House Floor.
This week, we continued to pass policy packages on major issue areas, building on the work of our historically productive 2023 session and improving the lives of Minnesotans. This week we passed the Commerce Policy package, which focuses on consumer and child protections, debt reform, net neutrality, and more. This legislation puts strict guardrails on social media platforms operating in Minnesota to help curtail how social media affects kids. Both as a legislator and a dad, I was glad to vote for it.
We also passed the Human Services Policy package, which offers resources and support to our most vulnerable Minnesotans. This was a huge win for disability services, and it will make a major positive impact on families all across Minnesota.
I want to send a huge thank you to everyone who logged on to my Town Hall with Speaker of the House Melissa Hortman this week. Connecting with and hearing from my community is my favorite part of my job. If you didn’t make it or have a question we didn’t get to during the town hall, feel free to reach out to me and I’d be happy to help.
