Dear Neighbors,
We have had a very busy few weeks at the Capitol, and this week has been particularly packed with meetings all day and into the evening as we near our first committee deadlines. In the committee I chair, Human Service Policy, we have heard many measures related to assistance for substance abuse disorders, behavioral health, and those with disabilities.
This week, I was honored to speak at the Disability Services Day at the Capitol rally. I emphasized the importance of expanding services and increasing access to those who need the assistance.
Minnesotans take pride in our legacy of environmental stewardship. DFLers passed legislation to fund 101 projects across our state to protect our wildlife, water, air, and soil.
The funding, which comes from the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund, uses a portion of our state lottery proceeds to ensure our environment and natural resources are protected for generations to come.
Please take a few minutes to fill out my 2024 legislative survey. Your responses will help me more fully understand your viewpoints, concerns, and values. Thank you for making your voice heard!
If you are a Minnesota homeowner or renter, you may qualify for a Property Tax Refund. The refund provides property tax relief depending on your income and property taxes. Learn more here.
The 2023-2024 Minnesota winter has been historically warm. While many have enjoyed the milder temperatures, snowy winters are essential to the success of Minnesota’s winter tourism and outdoor recreation industries. Our snowy winters are also how so many Minnesotans make a living with snow services.
Affected small businesses can now apply for federal assistance to help keep them on their feet. You can apply here.
