In addition to the current health plan, Hennepin County is introducing a new health care choice that gives employees a real advantage in 2014.

Hennepin County is offering all eligible county employees, families and retirees a new choice for health coverage during Open Enrollment this year. Called Advantage, the new plan offers the same level of coverage as Tier 1 of the Standard plan for a lower premium. On top of that, Advantage gives you:

• 3 free office visit copays
• Concierge phone line access
• Travel coverage-same at home or away
• Access to highly ranked doctors

Advantage will save individuals nearly $400/year and families nearly $1,100/year in premiums.

1.  How can I find out if my doctor is part of Advantage?

To find your physician, go to preferredone.com/hc and click on Provider Search.  Or call PreferredOne Customer Service at 763-847-4477 for assistance.

2.  When I enroll in Advantage, do I have to pick one doctor or clinic?

Each of the Advantage options has a comprehensive network of physicians, clinics and hospitals. You have access to all the providers in your network.
