Congratulations to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office Special Deputies!

Tonight, the Sheriff's Office will formally thank more than 100 Special Deputies for their service. Special Deputies are volunteers who donate their time to provide valuable public safety responsibilities. They patrol the roadways and waterways, respond to emergencies, and provide safety education.

At the 2013 Special Deputies Appreciation Banquet, many volunteers will receive honors for achieving significant milestones for their years of service. One Special Deputy has been volunteering for 45 years!
