Site Excavation Continues

Dec. 5_site

Knutson Construction and subcontractor Carl Bolander & Sons Co. have been busy with site excavation. More than 55,000 metric tons of soil has been removed from the site.

To put it in perspective, consider this: an elephant weighs approximately five metric tons. That means the equivalent of 11,000 elephants worth of soil has been removed from the site!

Pile Cap Pour

Pile driving at the construction site is nearly 50 percent complete. Thanks for your ongoing patience with this portion of the project.

Crews have also formed pile caps that are ready for a concrete pour at the northeast side of the construction site, near the Twins promenade and existing light-rail station.
