HERC is planning a maintenance outage April 26 to May 23. There will be several days during this time when both combustion units will be down. This will require us to limit the hours that we can accept waste. We will contact all haulers with the exact time frame of limited hours in a couple of weeks. Thank you in advance for your cooperation during the outage. If you have any questions, contact the hauler hotline, 612-348-7813 or haulers@hennepin.us.
Your regional hauler license is good for a two-year term, and the current term expires June 30, 2026. You will receive an email in early April with an attached license application from your base county for the 2026-2028 term.
Avoid late fees: Remember to return your completed application no later than April 30, 2026. If you have any questions, contact the hauler hotline, 612-348-7813 or haulers@hennepin.us.
The Hennepin County hauler’s manual has been updated with new information, special fees, and rates for 2026. Access it online: Operation Manual for Haulers 2026 (PDF)
Haulers: Please make sure your truck exhibits your Hennepin County numbers both on the bumper and on the driver’s side door. Make sure stickers are clean, not faded, and easy to read for the scale attendants.
If you need new or replacement stickers, please contact the Hauler Hotline at haulers@hennepin.us or 612-348-7813.
Save yourself and your company time, money and hassles. Remember to close the back of your truck! If you have newer drivers on your team, or if someone wants a refresher on safety protocols at HERC, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help: haulers@hennepin.us.
