Note: These are reported crime totals, reported directly from law enforcement to the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

 The policy’s final form was reached via meaningful collaboration with the Hennepin County Chiefs of Police Association and addresses courtroom usage of statements extracted from kids in custodial interrogations.
It is scheduled to be implemented in mid-January 2026.
