Finding great reads for K-12 students
Discover engaging books your students will love, explore unlimited-access eBooks for your classroom, and find resources to support growing reading skills.

Ebooks Minnesota features materials for adult, teens, and children, all of which are available to an unlimited number of simultaneous users.
Find collections called "Groups" on the top navigation that include:
- Minnesota Youth Reading awards (MYRA) 2026
- Decodables
- eBooks MN Grade PK-5 titles
- eBooks MN Grade 6-8 titles
Books through Ebooks Minnesota can be read online with no account or registration required.
They can also be read offline using the MackinVIA app. To use the app:
- First create a via a web browser before downloading the app.
- Once the app is installed, log in with your account. When prompted for the “School/Library Name,” select “Ebooks Minnesota” to connect to the collection.
 For students building reading skills and confidence, we have specialized resources to support their journey:
- Practice reading skills with a tutor at the library in our Let's Read program.

Browse decodable books that work on phonics skills by repeating basic words and letter sounds to help students practice concepts.
- Check out read-along books with embedded audio players to help students connect the words on the page with the sounds they are hearing.
NoveList K-8 Plus is a database for finding fiction and nonfiction recommendations for children and teens.
You can search by title or author to find read-alikes, or by topic for curriculum support. You can also search by grade level, Lexile level, appeal factors, and more.
