Hennepin Health, an award-winning health plan that serves people who are eligible for Medicaid and MinnesotaCare, is proud to announce the recipients of its 2025 Provider Excellence Awards.
This year’s award recognizes three providers across the Hennepin Health network that went above and beyond to improve access and outcomes for Medicaid and MinnesotaCare enrollees, reduce disparities, and foster trust within the community.
“Our providers radically shape the way people experience and view health care,” said Dr. Krishnan Subrahmanian, Hennepin Health Chief Medical Officer. “These providers are leading with compassion and innovation, shaping a better today for some of the most underserved people in our community.”
2025 honorees
Children’s Dental Services – Excellence in dental care
Improving dental utilization is a Hennepin Health priority. Every-other-month since 2024, Children’s Dental Services brought their services into Hennepin Health’s walk-in service center in downtown Minneapolis. The partnership allowed members to receive care in a trusted, convenient location, located beside other county services.
Dr. Paul Olin – Excellence in dental care
Dental care access is challenging for Medicaid and MinnesotaCare enrollees across Minnesota. Since 2024, more than 1 in 20 Hennepin Health member dental visits were performed by Dr. Paul Olin and his students at the University of Minnesota. This is the highest volume of any dental provider in the Hennepin Health network.
Everyday Miracles – Excellence in medical care
Maternal and early childhood health has downstream impacts. Since 2024, Everyday Miracles has provided nearly 600 visits to Hennepin Health members, offering car seats, doulas, and prenatal, delivery, postpartum and lactation services. Their work supported dozens of healthy moms and babies.
Celebrating impact
The awardees were recognized at an event at Hennepin Health headquarters on September 17.
“These providers exemplify what it means to partner in service of our community,” said Mike Herzing, Hennepin Heath Chief Executive Officer. “Their work is transforming lives in Hennepin County, and we’re thrilled to recognize their impact.”

Hennepin Health is Minnesota’s only county-owned, state-certified health maintenance organization and provides health care coverage to Hennepin County residents enrolled in Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare.
