For more than 20 years, Yolanda Friday, founder of Friday Financial Services, has been helping individuals develop family financial plans and businesses report their finances—giving both peace of mind during tax season.
After decades in operation, however, she saw a need to update her business to compete in today’s changing marketplace and appeal to a new generation of families and businesses.
She wasn’t equipped to develop a new brand or website herself without wasting a lot of time and energy. But in CEO Start, she found peer guidance, deep insights, and prepared her longstanding business to keep growing and evolving.

The county is reinvesting in Love Local, a multi-city marketing campaign that encourages residents to support the local businesses and business districts that make Hennepin County so vibrant and unique.

Similarly, the Small Business Administration celebrates Small Business Saturday on November 30 as one to celebrate the small businesses that are the backbone of the local economy.

 Most small businesses and operating entrepreneurs need to register with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) by January 1, 2025.
This is a new requirement this year that aims to enhance transparency and combat illicit activities.
Business owners can apply for this certification on their own via an online form, and any Hennepin County owners or entrepreneurs that need support can reach out to Elevate Hennepin legal advisors for guidance.
