The Stop Food Waste Challenge starts today! This means:
Start reporting your actions
Log into your dashboard to mark your actions as complete. Whenever you complete a daily action - remember this might be daily, weekly, or a few days here and there - log on and mark it complete so your impacts start to add up. Also make a plan for when you'll complete your one-time actions - the challenge will go by faster than you think!
See our impacts add up
The impact calculator is live! Most actions have an associated impact, and you can watch them grow as the challenge goes on. You can view impacts from yourself, your team, or everyone in the challenge.
Continue to recruit new team members
People can still join! You can continue to recruit team members throughout the whole challenge. It’s never too late to join. Remember to visit the resources section for tips on inviting and collaborating with team members.
Compete to earn a prize
Compete to be the top individual or team and try to earn prizes!* You'll be entered into a raffle for prizes if you earn 100 points or complete the food waste tracking survey. There are many ways to earn points throughout the challenge. To complete the food waste tracking survey, select the Track My Wasted Food action in the Planning category and click the “Learn More” button for the link to submit.
Have fun!
Keep an eye on your inbox for regular emails filled with resources and tips throughout the challenge.
We’re excited to help you on your journey to waste less food! See how to get started with the online Stop Food Waste Challenge (PDF) for more tips.
*Ramsey County and Washington County employees and their immediate family members are not eligible to receive a prize.
