Request for Information (RFI): Strong Beginnings: high quality childcare and education services

Hennepin County is issuing a request for information (RFI) to identify childcare providers who are qualified and interested in providing Strong Beginnings high quality childcare and education services in the form of early childhood services to children who are low-income, have special needs and/or are in foster care. We are especially looking for childcare centers that are in suburban Hennepin County, including Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Hopkins, and New Hope.

Responders must be licensed and good standing with the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS), be Parent Aware 4 Star rated for early childhood services and demonstrate experience working with children served by the Strong Beginnings program.  Responders need to be registered through the Child Care Assistance Program, or be able to register if they are approved to be a Strong Beginnings site.

Funding assigned to the Strong Beginnings program is managed by the Child Care Assistance Program.  Proposals from this RFI may be invited to participate as a Strong Beginnings provider, which may authorize a higher rate of pay if the center meets these Strong Beginnings requirements.
